Mission The European Anti-Aging-Academy is concerned with the scientific study of consequences of medical and technological advance for the individual and social life in all aspects of aging. The main focus is to examine foreseeable mid- and long-term processes that are especially influenced by the medical disciplines. As an independent scientific institution, the European Anti-Aging-Academy pursues a dialogue with medical professionals, politics and society. The European Anti-Aging-Academy bases its work on the assumption that the sciences have the task, beyond providing specialised scientific information, of also making orientational knowledge available. Therefore, an inter-disciplinary approach is required, bringing together the results from medical disciplines with thematically relevant studies in philosophy, jurisprudence, economics and social sciences within a European aspect. In addition, the foreseeable results of research and development are to be related trans-disciplinarily to the expected societal needs and positions and had to be shown within the European politics.
